We now have a fully licensed architect on the team who is trained in all aspects of building design, whether this be a private home or a commercial property. Our architect will be involved with all phases of the construction project, from the initial consultation with the customer through to the fully completed structure. They ensure that all building are safe and functional and suit the needs of the people they are designing the structure for. After agreeing on the initial proposal the architect will draw up the final construction plans which will show the buildings appearance and details for the construction.

Our architect will provide you with a complete design service from the initial consultation, drawing up the blueprints, planning applications, building regulations and structural engineer costs for your new build or extension. We will manage the entire planning application process with the local authority keeping you fully informed along the way.

Initial Consultation

Our architect will visit you in your home for the initial consultation to discuss your ideas and visions. Planning permission is not always need as many homes have permitted development rights. We can advise you of this on our visit. In some cases further information may be needed and we may need to consult with your local authority to ensure the likelihood of approval. Once this has been attained then a quotation will be sent to you.

Survey

If you decide to proceed with the construction the architect will than conduct a complete measured survey of the property and then produce your proposed design scheme.

Design Plans

Once you have approved the design then the architect will draw up the detailed plans for your approval.

Planning Approval and Building Regulations

The approved plans are than submitted to the planning department of your local authority for planning approval. This can take up to 8 weeks for them to validate the plans. Once the plans have been approved by the planning department the building regulations plans and specifications will then be produced and submitted to the building control department.
